Independent and Assisted Living at Currie Park - Euroa - VIC
Currie Park is set in a natural landscaped garden with mature native trees and water features. Currie Park includes a community room, gazebo, ornamental pond and barbecue areas that provide residents with an enticing setting for informal get-togethers and family gatherings.
The village is a short drive, or a 20-minute walk to the Euroa town centre. Many residents have their own car, and car sharing is encouraged.
Our 20 independent living cottages consist of lounge/dining room, kitchen, bedroom, laundry and bathroom, surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and lawns. All include French doors leading to their own private courtyard. Home cooked meals can be obtained from the nearby assisted living complex.
The architecturally designed apartment complex features bright and cheerful communal dining and lounge room facilities, eight separate tastefully appointed apartments, each with its own entrance, private en-suite, built-in-robes and kitchenette.
These serviced apartments are ideal for residents who still live independently, but need domestic support and the convenience of daily, prepared meals.
The additional services available at Currie Park include:
Daily “I am Well” monitoring system and personal alarm.
Lunch is available in the dining room (at resident’s
Recreational and social activities organised by the Residents’ Activities Committee (at resident’s expense).
Residents can arrange at their own expense:
Private telephone lines to their room.
Personal, medical and cosmetic requirements can be ordered from the pharmacy.
Newspapers or magazines can be ordered and delivered from the local newsagent.
The Association has an 81-place residential care facility offering both high and low care for residents from our four villages at Leith Park in St Helena. Residents of the Independent Living Units have priority for transfer to these residential care facilities.
HOW TO ENTER
Before being accepted onto our waiting list for accommodation, interested applicants are invited for an initial interview and have to pay a $50 administrative fee. To keep your name on our list, we ask you to contact us every six months.
FEES AND COSTS
Residents with assets greater than $50,000 are required to pay a non-refundable entry donation depending on each individual’s total assets.
There is a daily maintenance charge for a single person of:
$21.90 per day ($306.60 per fortnight)
For couples, the charge is:
One bedroom: $27.16 per day ($380.24 per fortnight) Two bedrooms: $27.91 per day ($390.74 per fortnight)
This covers maintenance, water charges and council rates, as well as building insurance and $15,000 contents insurance. Gas and electricity charges are the resident’s responsibility.
Maintenance fees at retirement villages are claimable under the Commonwealth Government’s Rental Assistance program, in accordance with the Commonwealth’s eligibility guidelines.
The fees for a serviced apartment are:
Single occupant: $722.82 per fortnight ($51.63 per day)
A non-refundable donation is applicable for residents with assets greater than $50,000.
