Turning into the private drive of Chorley Wood you are immediately surrounded by gorgeous native greenery and beautiful gum trees. You will open the gate and enter into the courtyard to be greeted by the magnificent paper bark tree, but it’s far more than just a beautiful setting.

We could go on about the warmth and character of the home, the modern kitchen, the powder room, the split level dining and lounge with exquisite Sydney Blue Gum floors, the atrium leading to the back courtyard and how the aspect provides an abundance of beautiful natural light.
We could then talk about the beautiful shapes and spaces made be the walls and skylight, the huge master with a built in wardrobe and the good sized second bedroom, the lovely bathroom and the fact they all have leafy views.

We could try and highlight a few of the many features like the timer fuse for off peak water, the alarm system, the attic ladder and the heated towel rack which all show snippets of the attention to detail and thoughtful design.

We could rave about the location and how close to everything it is, how magnificent Macquarie Centre is, how great and friendly the local park is and how quickly you can get to town or the airport… but none of that really will explain what you find when you live here. You need to feel and experience it for yourself.

There are so many things we love about our home but what we will greatly miss is the opportunity to provide our family with the experience of nature while not going without the modern city lifestyle. You have a wonderful opportunity to be able to commune with nature whether it be walking in the national park, laps of the ovals, or even joining one of the many casual groups of people playing sport on the weekend. Our family’s favourite way to do this is by going on "Safaris" with the girls around Chorley Wood and Lane Cove National Park spying Rosellas, Rainbow Lorikeets, Kookaburras, ducklings, turtles and many other creatures.

It is with a heavy heart that we will be leaving our little piece of paradise and the only reason we are doing so is because we are being relocated to Adelaide for work. We have gone from being a couple to a family in this home and have created many life long memories here, filling our hearts.

Driving out of Chorley Wood for the last time will be very hard. Seeing the beautiful gums in the rear view mirror will remind us of the wonderful life we had here but we will be glad that someone else will have the opportunity to love it as much as we have.
