A well-known broadcaster and proud Mudgee local, Ken enjoyed a celebrated career in sports journalism, best known for his time on the Nine Network. In a relaxed Q&A format, he’ll reflect on a few highlights from his time as a radio presenter, reporter, disc jockey, and newsreader, as well as share his decision to return to much-loved Mudgee to retire.

Whether you’re a resident, a local, or simply curious about the community at Mudgee Spring Lifestyle Estate, this free event is a great chance to hear from Ken while enjoying complimentary local refreshments.

About Ken:

Ken Sutcliffe is one of Australia’s most respected and well-loved television personalities, with a remarkable career spanning 50 years. Ken worked alongside some of the biggest names in Australian television, including Brian Henderson, Graham Kennedy, and Ray Warren.

Spending 37 of those 50 years with the Nine Network, Ken was a trusted presenter on National Nine News and a long-standing host of Wide World of Sports. His warm presence and deep passion for sport saw him cover some of the world’s most prestigious sporting events until his retirement in late 2016.

Ken’s media journey began in his hometown of Mudgee, where he worked as a radio presenter, reporter and disc jockey for four years.

He later moved into television with CBN-8 Orange as a newsreader, before heading to North Queensland.
