War Vet's Retirement Living
Welcome to War Vet’s Retirement Living, where we offer a warm and friendly community for those aged 55 and over. Despite our name, you don’t need to be a veteran and we welcome both men and women among our residents.
Come and discover the welcoming atmosphere at War Vet’s Retirement Living, where affordable comfort meets a supportive community. Enjoy your independence while being surrounded by friends and neighbours who share your values and interests.
Our location is one of the best in town, just across from the hospital on Thomas Street, ensuring help is always close by if needed. This strong sense of security allows our residents to live comfortably and confidently.
Our recently renovated one-bedroom units provide all the comforts of home, complete with modern appliances and touches that make it a perfect place to settle down and enjoy life.
But living here means more than just a place to stay; it’s about becoming part of a caring community of like-minded individuals. With all the site and garden maintenance taken care of, you can focus on the things you love, leading a relaxed and independent lifestyle.

About Southern Cross Care Queensland
Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago, who saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community. With five Retirement Villages, thirteen Aged Care homes and Community Home Care services, all our services are community focussed and connected, so that as a person’s needs change they can continue to be supported with compassionate, high quality care and support that they have come to know and trust us for. Today SCCQ remains a not-for-profit, values-based organisation committed to growing communities where best lives are lived.
