We’ve been here at Broadlands View for nearly 5 years. Time has flown by, and we can’t imagine living anywhere else. Covid being the highlight of 2020 was for us a turning point in our lives, like many others, determining the most sensible action to take for our age now and in the future. The rural lifestyle is simply the best and we are close to everything. We are very pleased with our easy-care home, having all the comforts at hand. Our generously appointed Community Centre is simply a great hub, with so much to offer. We made BV our home and it has suited us beautifully. — John & Ruth

We have lived here now for 26 months. We were able to live on site in our van with a comfortable ensuite facility whilst our home was being built. During the build, Broadlands View made sure we were cosy and happy in our caravan and now we’re in our home that’s still the case today. It is definitely for us a place to call home. In the short time I’ve been here most of the people I’ve met have been friendly and welcoming. It has been a relief to downsize — necessary for both my physical health and mental wellbeing. We have been in our beautiful Broadlands home for 6 months now and are extremely happy with the functional and adequate, well-lit space and design of the house. It is finished to a very high standard, thoughtfully planned enabling low maintenance inside and out. Andrea and Greg are friendly and caring and take time from their busy schedule to have a chat, see how things are going and help us to adjust to the Broadlands community and the Bairnsdale area. Both have a heart for the surrounding environment, planting trees and shrubs that are visually pleasing as well as being plants that encourage birdlife. It’s been exciting to see new birds as we walk on the flat ground around Broadlands and the Wetlands and along the way enjoy friendly chats with those in the community of Broadlands View. The addition of the amazing Community Centre has provided a space to continue on from the little chats to friendships, enjoying social times, charity fund-raising morning teas, music, etc and more with a pool, gym and library, too.
