Townsville’s downsizers are stepping into a new era of living as Lincoln Place launches its $200 million Lincoln Lifestyle Northern Beaches estate, the city’s largest land lease community, with early works already progressing on site.
The 350-lot masterplanned lifestyle community, exclusively for over-50s, will deliver 30 homes in its first stage, with the remaining stages to be completed over the next five years alongside a multi-million-dollar investment in amenities.
Lincoln Place Chief Executive Officer, Paul Yeo, said the selection of new home designs across low-set two- and three-bedroom floorplans were thoughtfully designed for Townsville’s sub-tropical climate.
“From our early engagement with the community we’ve incorporated a number of features into the home designs, with air-conditioning a standard inclusion alongside native, drought-tolerant landscaping and spaces within the estate for RV and boat storage,” Mr Yeo said.
“We’ve also considered North Queensland’s susceptibility to weather events, with all homes and facilities to be built to cyclone-rated standards, and the community will be gated, private and secure for peace of mind.
“Importantly, we’re creating new opportunities for over-50s to downsize close to local beaches, weekend markets and pocket parks, and an abundance of private resident facilities.”
Multi-million-dollar resident amenities include resort-style outdoor and indoor pools, a clubhouse with private cinema, library, dining area, lounge and bar, and kitchen, a wellness centre and gym, outdoor dining and BBQ areas, sports pavilion, bowling green, pickleball courts and walking paths.
Mr Yeo said early purchasers could choose from a range of home designs while the project was under construction, with the first homes expected to be completed by Christmas 2026.
“We’ve already received significant interest from the community, with almost 100 people attending our Public Launch event, along with over 150 at our previous information sessions. Many are joining our Priority Access Club for the chance to place an expression of interest to have first option of securing their preferred home,” he said.
“Buying into this project provides a rare opportunity to select a home that suits their unique lifestyle, from quality inclusions to low-maintenance finishes, as well as optional upgrades such as full-height bathroom tiles or extra power sockets.
“Interestingly, the majority of the pre-launch interest came from downsizers all around Townsville and as far as the Gold Coast and Sydney.”
Located within the Sanctum masterplan at Mount Low, Lincoln Lifestyle Northern Beaches residents will enjoy easy access to multiple shopping complexes, offering shopping, medical and transport services and Sanctum’s expansive open parklands, walking paths and shared spaces.
Mr Yeo said the land lease model would allow more of Townsville’s residents to downsize close to home, while freeing up existing housing stock to the local market.
“We are proud to create opportunities for Townsville’s over-50s to downsize through the land lease model, which is delivering benefits for more than 3,000 people living in Lincoln Place communities across Australia,” he said.
“With no stamp duty, no exit fees and no body-corporate fees, land lease provides a pathway to financial freedom. The only cost is an ongoing weekly site rental fee that also covers maintenance of the community and the extensive lifestyle amenities.”
Prices for two-bedroom homes in the first home release start from $565,000. For more information or to enquire, visit www.lincolnplace.com.au
