Quick facts

About Seasons

Seasons has communities across Brisbane, Moreton Bay and Logan, so you can choose a part of Queensland that suits you. Each community is a village of self-contained apartments, with shared facilities and lifestyle programs on site, so everyday social life is close to your front door. If you are weighing up a move, it helps to think about which of these areas keeps you nearest to family, friends and the places you already know.

Residents lease their home, and Seasons looks after the property and gardens. Maintenance teams are available for support and repairs, so you can spend your time on village life instead of upkeep. For anyone leaving a large family home, handing over the mowing, the repairs and the garden is often one of the biggest changes, and it is worth picturing what you would do with the extra time. Amenities and activities vary by community, so each village has its own feel, and visiting more than one is the best way to see which suits you.

Seasons is a privately owned retirement living provider. When you are comparing providers, it is reasonable to ask any of them how they are run and who to contact with questions, and Seasons lists a phone number for exactly that purpose.

Costs & fees

For a current price, call Seasons directly on 1300 732 766 or enquire through the listing for the community you're interested in. Because every household's situation is different, a direct conversation is the most reliable way to find out what a particular apartment would involve. It also helps to ask what the agreement covers and what you would be expected to pay on an ongoing basis, and to take your time reading anything you are given before you decide.

Care & lifestyle services

Seasons helps you stay independent for longer in your own apartment, with onsite care available 24/7. Support is added as your needs change, delivered by Seasons' own home care service: personal care, domestic support, social transport and clinical care. The point of this arrangement is that you can begin with very little help and increase it only when you need to, rather than having to move somewhere new. It is worth asking how a change in your needs would be assessed and arranged, so that nothing about the process comes as a surprise.

Allied health and palliative care also reach you in your own apartment. You can keep your own aged care provider if you prefer. If you already have people you trust, that choice matters, and it is worth raising early in a conversation with the team.

All communities have a movie cinema, a bar and cafe, an activity room and a community bus. Dining and lounge areas, expansive outdoor spaces and a beauty salon add to the social side, and the mix varies by community. When you visit, look at how these spaces are laid out and imagine using them on an ordinary week, not just on a day when something special is on.

What makes Seasons different

Pets come with you. Cats, dogs, birds or fish are all welcome across Seasons communities, so downsizing doesn't mean parting with a companion. For many people, a pet is a big part of the daily routine, so this can remove a worry that holds people back from moving.

Thousands of residents already live in Seasons villages. A large resident community can be a good sign when you are looking for neighbours and company, and you can ask to meet some of them when you visit. Seeing the villages in person tells you far more than any brochure, so it is sensible to arrange a tour of each community on your shortlist. Write down your questions beforehand, and compare the answers you receive side by side once you have seen them all.
