Construction is underway on a transformative new facility at Mudgee’s first over-50’s estate as Lincoln Place turns the first sod on a state-of-the-art residents’ clubhouse for the growing community at Spring Flat.
Member for Calare Andrew Gee MP joined Lincoln Place Chief Executive Officer Paul Yeo and founding residents of Lincoln Lifestyle Mudgee Spring to celebrate the sod turn event, which will see the creation of a 1,656sqm clubhouse as part of a $9.2 million investment in recreational spaces and amenities.
Mr Yeo said builder QLinc had been appointed to deliver the state-of-the-art facility, creating local jobs and investment and delivering a vibrant social hub for the estate’s growing community.
“At Lincoln Place, we are committed to collaborating with respected partners to bring our vision for vibrant communities to fruition, and our partnership with QLinc is playing a key role in delivering homes and recreational facilities at Lincoln Lifestyle Mudgee Spring,” he said.
“As the first land lease community in Mudgee, we are delivering high-quality amenities specifically designed to make the most of this prime location, with residents already enjoying the bowls green, pickleball court and outdoor dining pavilion that opened late last year.
“The multi-million-dollar clubhouse is the heart of the community and is designed to promote social connection and a space for residents to host gatherings with family and friends or relax and unwind with the extensive wellness amenities provided.
“Upon completion in late 2026, residents will enjoy a lounge, theatre and games room, alongside dining, entertainment and communal cooking spaces.
“It will also include a large outdoor pool, gymnasium, BBQ area, community garden, craft studio and workshop, as well as a dog park, walking track and caravan storage facilities.”
The 16-ha masterplan, formerly named Mudgee Spring Lifestyle Estate, will deliver 206 new homes across four stages in the heart of Mudgee Wine Country, only minutes from the town centre and established amenities including Mudgee District Hospital, golf club, bowling club and tennis club.
Mr Yeo said over-50's lifestyle communities provided an opportunity for people to free up capital and downsize into a thoughtfully designed home with abundant lifestyle amenities.
“When you buy into Mudgee Spring, you own your home outright, but there’s no Stamp Duty, body-corporate fees or Deferred Management Fees, and no council rates,” he said.
“The only ongoing cost is a weekly site fee for the land that also covers the maintenance of the community and the extensive lifestyle amenities.”
