Halcyon Serrata, Stockland’s newest over 50s community in the Moreton Bay region, has marked a major milestone with a heartfelt celebration for its very first homeowners.
On a picture-perfect day by the Bay, a group of future homeowners gathered at The Komo in Redcliffe for an intimate two-course lunch to commemorate the foundation release of the first 14 homes.
More than just a celebration, the event offered a first glimpse into a new chapter of life — one filled with connection, laughter and shared excitement.
As guests mingled, swapping stories and contact details, new friendships were already forming. For Stockland Halcyon’s Sales Manager, Emily Sherring, the atmosphere spoke volumes.
“These are our foundation homeowners, the ones who’ve trusted our vision from the very beginning,” Emily said. “It’s so special to bring them together for the first time and start building those neighbourly connections that Halcyon communities are known for.”
A glimpse into life at Serrata
Stockland Halcyon Project Director, Andrew Astorquia, welcomed guests and shared artist impressions of what’s ahead — from the grand, palm-lined entrance to the classic English-villa-style clubhouse with its bushland views.
“Halcyon Serrata will offer everything from pickleball courts and a library to a gold-class cinema, but what really makes our communities special is the people,” Andrew said. “Events like this are just the beginning of the relationships that will eventually start to form.”
Guests also had the chance to see plans for the resort-style amenities that will soon shape their daily life, like a 25m magnesium salt pool with a spa, a gym, bowling green, walking paths, function room with a dance floor, bar and more.
Andrew also highlighted a unique feature of the community: a protected one-hectare green corridor at the heart of the site that will remain untouched.
“This 10-metre-wide natural space will continue as a thriving koala habitat, and it’s something really special. The clubhouse and some homes will overlook this green belt — we could easily have called it Halcyon Habitat,” Andrew said with a smile.
Simplifying the journey home
With construction already underway and a nine-month build guarantee, homeowners can plan their move with confidence. All homes are turnkey and come complete with high-quality finishes, solar panels, ducted air conditioning and a choice of four internal and external colour schemes.
“Turnkey homes take the stress out of the buying process,” Emily said. “We’ve drawn on more than 20 years of experience building over-50s communities to design move-in-ready homes that reflect what buyers truly want. It’s about simplicity, luxury and creating homes and communities that people love to live in.”
Perfectly positioned in Burpengary East with easy access to both Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, Halcyon Serrata offers the best of both worlds — a peaceful, nature-connected lifestyle close to shops, services and major transport links.
