Aveo’s flagship Gold Coast retirement community, The Domain Country Club, has officially unveiled the stunning transformation of its Clubhouse.
The community recently hosted a grand reopening celebration with residents, the Aveo team and Chief Executive Officer, Tony Randello.
The transformation includes a light-filled restaurant, bar and lounge area, games room, a new library and an outdoor BBQ area by the community pool and gym.
The highlight of the event was a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Tony, joined by long-time resident Del Furlonger and her daughter Susan Irvine - also a resident - symbolising the intergenerational connections that make Domain Country Club such a special place.
“Aveo is committed to creating high-quality, connected and vibrant communities where residents can thrive, and community facilities that feel like an extension of their home.”
“I am proud to see the successful transformation of The Domain Country Club’s community Clubhouse, and it was such an honour to celebrate this moment with Del and Susan, whose intergenerational stories truly embody the spirit of this community,” Tony said.
Del, who moved to the village 37 years ago with her late husband George, shared her reflections during the ceremony. “When my husband and I first moved here, I thought I was too young and would be bored—but that was far from the case. We became busier than we could have imagined! After George passed away, I stayed involved in the community and even remarried at 87 in the gardens. This village holds so many special memories.”
Del’s daughter and fellow resident, Susan added, “Mum has never regretted her decision to move here. She got involved in everything and helped shape the community we know today. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren are still coming here, and we have had many lovely family gatherings by the pool and in the restaurant, as many other families do too. It’s been amazing to watch the village grow from 52 to over 320 villas. It is such a special place to all of us.”
Located at 74 Wardoo Street, Ashmore, The Domain Country Club offers a variety of 2-bedroom, 2-bedroom plus study and 3-bedroom villas as well as 1-bedroom apartments with services. Villas and apartments range from $320,000 to $810,000. For more information, please call 13 28 36.
