On Wednesday 30 July, Ingenia Lifestyle Hervey Bay officially cut the ribbon on ‘The Pavillion’, its new multi-million-dollar clubhouse, the third dedicated community space for residents.
The Pavilion joins the recently refurbished ‘Eagles Nest’ clubhouse and ‘The Hangar’ community space to create an impressive suite of amenities available to residents.
In a ceremony that brought together residents, local leaders, and Ingenia Lifestyle representatives the opening marked an important milestone for the community.
Ingenia Lifestyle’s Head of Development for Queensland Adam Forrester said the clubhouse is setting a new standard for seniors in the region.
“’The Pavilion is part of our continued investment in Hervey Bay and we are excited for residents to enjoy all that it has to offer,” Mr Forrester said.
“We believe in creating communities that encourage connection and support a healthy, active lifestyle, and great amenities are an essential part of this.”
With the completion of ‘The Pavilion’ Ingenia Lifestyle Hervey Bay residents now have a gym, golf simulator, steam room, sauna, and new resort-style pool at their fingertips – on top of the facilities at the existing ‘Eagles Nest’ clubhouse and ‘The Hangar’.
‘The Pavilion’ also offers dedicated spaces for residents to unwind and socialise with a lounge, bar facilities, multipurpose room and a fully equipped barbeque and function area.
“While the offering differs slightly across each of the three facilities, there is a common thread and that is the focus on how each facility can enhance the resident experience, creating places where people want to live,” Mr Forrester said.
Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour highlighted the importance of such facilities in enhancing residents' lifestyles.
“I think people see spaces like this as a building, but of course it’s much more than that,” said Cr Seymour.
“It’s a space where resident gather to watch State of Origin, play bridge or do aqua therapy. These facilities provide the options for a wider range of lifestyle opportunities.”
Resident Graham Henry said he is thrilled with ‘The Pavilion’ opening and appreciates the range of amenities that help resident wellbeing and health.
“The Pavilion is absolutely stunning, it’s given us so many health benefits — it really puts a strong focus on wellbeing,” Mr Henry said.
“We’ve got a pickleball court and a veggie garden on the way, once those are in, I honestly can’t think of anything else to add — it’s everything you’d want for an enjoyable life.”
The opening of ‘The Pavilion’ was celebrated with a special event attended by residents, Cr George Seymour Mayor of Fraser Coast Regional Council, and Ingenia Lifestyle representatives.
